Meeting Instructions

Our guides will text you on the day of your tour: Please ensure that the phone number you have attached to your reservation is on and functioning. This is in case we have any trouble finding you or if you are running late. We currently are offering two pickup options: Centennial Hall (default) or Cruise Ship Terminal. Please see your confirmation email to confirm your pickup location. See below for information on each pickup location based on where you are arriving to. The great majority of cruise ships that arrive in Sitka use the Halibut Point Cruise Terminal (AKA Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal.)

CENTENNIAL HALL: If your ship docks at the Halibut Point Cruise Terminal/Sitka Sound Cruise Terminal, use these instructions:

Pickup is at Centennial Hall 15 minutes before the tour starts. Please allow at least 20 minutes to travel from the cruise ship to Centennial Hall. Exit your ship and follow signs for the shuttle to downtown Sitka. There is only one route, and one destination, which is called Centennial Hall. Take the 12 minute complimentary shuttle (see map below), and get off at Centennial Hall.

Centennial Hall is a medium-sized building, and not easy to get lost. You may use the restrooms inside. However, please wait outside in the waiting area by the curb for pickup. You will see there is a big bus loop (to the north) and a small bus loop (to the south), right next to each other in front of Centennial Hall. Please wait near the small bus loop. There are signs here that say “TOURS AND EXCURSIONS.” Please arrive on time to your pickup spot so others in your party will not have to wait.

The Selkie Snorkels van will arrive 15 minutes before your tour time to the small bus loop. It is a purple/maroon passenger van, Chevy Express, with white “Selkie Snorkels” logos on the sides. Our guides will wear a Purple or Pink “Selkie Snorkels” T Shirts.

If you have any trouble at all, please text your guides.

CENTENNIAL HALL: If your ship docks at Downtown Sitka, use these instructions:

Great news, your transit is even simpler. Your ship will drop you off via tender DIRECTLY AT Centennial Hall. From there, you’ll just need to find your way to the front of the building (see yellow circle on the map).

CRUISE SHIP TERMINAL PICKUP: If you are being picked up at the cruise ship terminal, use these instructions:

If you are being picked up from the Cruise Ship Terminal, you will exit your cruise ship and follow signs for “Tour Departures.” Once outside, you will see stalls where big tour buses are picking people up. We will be next to Bus Bay #8, where there are signs for “Tour Van Pickup.” Please wait in that area (see map on right) and keep a look out for the maroon van.

If you have any issues, please text your guides who will text you on the morning of your tour.
